What is the difference between chemical and mineral (physical) sunscreen?
Chemical sunscreen absorbs into the skin and then absorbs UV rays, converts the rays into heat, and releases them from the body. Physical sunscreen sits on top of the skin and reflects the sun's rays. The minerals titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are the main active ingredients in physical blocks.
What does SPF 50 mean?
SPF stands for ‘sun protection factor’ and the 50 in SPF 50 refers to the amount of protection the sun screen offers compared to unprotected skin. SPF 50 sunscreens are formulated to allow less damaging rays to reach your skin’s surface than lower SPF sunscreens. For example, when applied correctly, SPF30+ allows 3.3% of UVB rays to reach your skin while SPF 50 allows only 2% to reach your skin. This may not sound like much of a difference, but over a lifetime of UV exposure, it all adds up.
Are your sunscreens safe to use on children of all ages, including babies?
Absolutely! Our mineral formulation and natural tint means that ALL children (babies +6 months) are safe to use our sunscreens. In fact, this formulation is so safe and beautiful to use, even the older kids in us use it everyday. That’s us!! So it’s suitable for children of all ages and adults. We recommend patch testing on infants first and follow the directions on the back of the pack.
Does the tint stain clothes?
The tint is a natural iron oxide pigment, not a dye. It will however, cause a stain if rubbed onto clothes directly and not washed with suitable fabric cleaner. We have developed our daily face creams for facial application only which is clearly directed on the packaging. This product was developed primarily for 9yrs + who are responsible for applying appropriately.
What is the difference between the two Daily Face Creams?
Good Vibes has a ‘fresh apple’ scent and Happy Days has a ‘creamy vanilla’ scent. Happy Days also contains the natural ingredient Pantavitin, which has long been proven to moisturise, restore, and protect skin against dehydration. Therefore we recommend Happy Days for normal/dry skin and Good Vibes for normal/oily skin. (Refer to the full list of ingredients on our website).
How much fragrance is used in your Daily Face Creams?
In accordance with the strict regulations mandated by the Therapeutic Goods Administration of Australia (TGA), fragrance can only make up a maximum of 0.5% of our total listed ingredients. That means there is less than half a ml of fragrance in a 100ml tube. And that's just enough to add the subtle scent that kids love and still be suitable for sensitive skin.
How long will one tube last?
If the recommended amount for 1 person is used everyday a tube will last approximately 8-10 weeks.
What is the expiry date on your Daily Face Creams?
You will find the expiry date embossed in the white crimp at the end of the tubes. Our suncreens have a shelf life of 3 years from the date of production.
Are you Daily Face Creams water resistant?
Our signature face creams are 80 mins water resistant.
Will you have a full water resistance body cream coming?
We intend to soon. Watch this space...
